Our Work
Knowesis Oracle Database Administrative professionals support the Information Management Office (IMO) of the USAISR by providing administration services for the Oracle servers located in the USAISR. The servers support both laboratory and clinical trauma research for combat casualty care medical solutions and products for injured soldiers. Specifically, our work includes maintaining Oracle databases and servers; developing and maintaining back-up and recovery plans; managing user accounts and permissions; recommending and providing hardware and software updates; seeking and applying necessary security patches; and providing any support to Development Staff regarding any other requirements.
Knowesis subject matter experts (SMEs) provide recommendations for medical treatments from self-aid through definitive care across the full spectrum of military operations. Additionally, given the nature of the IMO’s mission as well as its recent transition to a more rigorous database platform that meets rising cybersecurity regulations within the Federal Government, Knowesis’ strong Database Administration expertise in the Oracle platform is a highly valued component of our support.
Our Results
Knowesis’ engineers in the Oracle platform provide USAISR database administration services supporting both laboratory and clinical trauma research for combat casualty care. U.S. Army Institute for Surgical Research Database Management
The U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) is dedicated to optimizing combat casualty care. From its earliest days, the USAISR was established as the “Army’s Burn Unit” and has served as a model for civilian burn care all over the world. Now the USAISR has expanded emphasis in providing all types of medical solutions for the injured warfighter on the battlefield. When the Army formed its Institute for Surgical Research, database management for laboratory and clinical trauma research would become a critical component in support of its efforts.
