Knowesis services resulted in scientific findings related to wearable technology and performance monitoring. These initiatives have influenced technological integration, rehabilitation, and training of Ranger Regiment personnel.

Our Results

Knowesis staff conducts data analysis and provides liaison support services which includes data abstraction, data presentation, data management, and knowledge management which assist in the overall performance improvement of the Ranger Regiment.

For example, assessment of sports medicine data led to new policies regarding injury rehabilitation in the Ranger Assessment and Selection program. Research into wearable technology, such as the Oura Ring and Whoop Heart Rate monitors, influenced purchase and implementation programs with the active Ranger population. Revamping of the phalanx rehabilitation program resulted in a novel physical assessment procedure using force plate technology. This initiative was created to enhance the coaches' understanding of physical limitations and areas of improvement via a strength and conditioning program.
